September 27, 1911 --- January 24, 1921

Death came to the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Frakes on last Monday afternoon after three weeks of intense suffering.

This little one was taken quite ill about three weeks ago and he was brot to Goldfield and placed under the care of Dr. Zinn at the Andrew Frakes home. Altho all that loving hands and medical skill could do for the little chap he gave up the fight and passed into the Great Beyond Monday afternoon.

On account of the character of the disease it was not possible to hold a public funeral. The funeral was held at the house Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. J. S. Nicholson offering prayer near the door. The remains were laid to rest in the Glenwood cemetery.

Walter Edward Frakes was born in Boone township on September 27, 1912 [1911] and died at Goldfield, Iowa, on January 24, 1921, aged 8 [9] years, 3 months and 27 days.

The sympathy of the community is extended to these bereaved parents and sisters and brothers in their sorrow.
