Ruth Hanna Hewett Tunison
23 May 1857 ---- 29 May 1915

The funeral services of Mrs. Ira Tunison were held at the Methodist church in Livermore Tuesday and she was buried at Humboldt. Among the relatives present from abroad were the husband, John and Clara of Wadena, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Blanche Scott and Mrs. Will Wombold and daughter of Eagle Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johns of Waterloo, Charles Sankey and wife of Galbraith, and Mrs. Joe Hewitt and daughter of Algona, Mrs. Hattie Miller arrived from Wilmont too late.

Ruth Hanna Hewitt was born in New York May 23, 1857, and died May 29, 1915. She came to Humboldt county in 1870 and married Ira Tunison in 1875. Sixteen children were born to them.

The following ten are living: Mrs. Blanche Scott, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Maggie Schultz, Bertha, Minn.; John, Wadena; Mrs. Anna Vought, Livermore; Mrs. Lottie Johns, Waterloo; Mrs. Hattie Miller, Wilmont, Minn.; Joseph, Verndale, Minn.; Merritt, Bertha and Clara at home.

Deceased was well known here. The family sold their farm south of Livermore and moved to Minnesota eight years ago. For the past four years she has been in poor health and was living at Eagle Grove near her daughter. Her death occurred while she was in West Bend of heart trouble.
