4 May 1914 ---- 17 August 1914

William Frank Lear Schurmann was born May 4, 1914, in Big Sandy, Mont., and after a short stay on this earth of 3 months and 13 days, passed back again into the eternity from which he came on Monday morning at 2 o'clock a.m., Aug. 17, 1914, staying only long enough to give those left to form an everlasting love for him and cause for meeting again above. He was baptized by the Norwegian Lutheran minister at the Williamson ranch on the ninth day of July 1914.

William died in a house fire when a coal oil cook stove exploded. Mother and child were placed in one casket, the little babe being placed in its mother's arms.
