Funeral services for Bert C. Letts, 79, of Eagle Grove, were held Friday afternoon at the McCauley Chapman funeral home in Webster City. Burial was in Graceland cemetery. Rev. J. A. Farnham officiated at the services.

Mr. Letts, a resident of this community, died Wednesday morning at the University hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient for five days.

Son of J. R. and Huldah Letts, Bert C. Letts was born March 14, 1869, at Frankfort, Ill. He came with his father to Iowa in 1882. On March 15, 1896, he was married to Susie Robbins. The family was engaged in farming near Webster City for some time before moving to Eagle Grove in 1929.

Mr. Letts was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, one son, Harold, of Woolstock, one brother, Frank, of Kansas City, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. Dolle Graham and Mrs. Will D. Slivers, both of this city. Also surviving are two grandsons, Howard and Kenneth Letts.
