Margaret "Maggie" Derscheid McCausland
January 21, 1871 --- August 7, 1908

Quite a lot of South Troy people attended the funeral of Mrs. James McCausland, who died at her late home south west of Eagle Grove last Friday. The services were conducted by Rev. F. E. York, of Eagle Grove, and burial at Rose Hill cemetery on Sunday afternoon. The deceased leaves a husband and two little sons. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family
and sorrowing relatives.

OBITUARY M'CAUSLAND
Account of the life of a Loving Mother and Good Neighbor

The home of J. E. McCausland is mourning over the loss of a devoted wife, and loving mother who departed from this life August 7 at the family home southwest of town. Her demise was due to bowel trouble. Mrs. McCausland had not been enjoying good health for the past year and altho everything possible was done to save her life death claimed another victim.

The deceased was born in this county on January 21, 1871, being the daughter of C. Derschied, who now lives at Iroquois, No. Dak. She was married in October 1891, to James McCausland. To this happy union two children were born a daughter, Ila, and a son Earl, aged sixteen and seven.

The funeral was held on the following Sunday. Rev. York having charge of the services. Interment was made in the Rose Hill cemetery. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends, the deceased being one of those who by their excellent traits of character always form friendships.

The grief stricken family have the sympathy of all. Those present from out of town at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Derscheid of Iroquois, N. Dak.; Mrs. McNeil of Clarion, and Sam Chesling of Greene county.
