Frank Hall rites Monday afternoon

Frank M. Hall, 87, retired Chicago and North Western RR conductor died Saturday at Trinity Hospital, Fort Dodge, where he had been a patient from the previous afternoon. Mr. Hall had not been in good health for some time.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, and two daughters, Mrs. Roger Berry of Bettendorf and Mrs. Russell Buck of Ft. Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral home in charge of Rev. C. Howell Bischoff. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hall was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hall, and his father was also a Chicago and North Western RR conductor. He was the last of his immediate family having been preceded in death by his parents, one brother Earl Hall, and one sister, Mrs. Wm. Cole.

He was a graduate of Eagle Grove High School with the class of 1906.

Obituary

Frank Morgan Hall was born Oct. 5, 1887, at Elmore, Minn., the son of Charles and Helen LaPoint Hall.

He attended elementary school and high school in Eagle Grove graduating in 1906.

He was united in marriage to Melvina Maude Bandy on Sept. 24, 1912 at Eagle Grove. After marriage the couple lived in Eagle Grove. He was employed by the Chicago Northwestern R.R. as a conductor until his retirement in 1956.

He was a member of the United Trainman's Union, the Masonic Lodge and Modern Woodmen of America. He died Aug. 23 after a lingering illness at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 18 days.

He is survived by his wife, Vina; two daughters, Gail, Mrs. Robert Berry, Bettendorf; Margaret, Mrs. Russell Buck, Fort Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

Services were held at the Kastler, Babcock, DeYoung Funeral Home, on Monday, Aug. 25, 1975 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Howell Bischoff officiating. Interment was at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
