Phillip F. Reetz, 85, of Eagle Grove died August 22, 2011.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, August 24, at Calvary Cemetery, Eagle Grove, with Father Nils Hernandez officiating.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, three wives, one son, and one grandchild.

Phillip Reetz was born July 12, 1926, to Arthur and Nellie Reetz of Sheffield. He attended Sheffield School and graduated in 1945. Shortly after graduation, he went to work for the railroad.

In 1951, he married Georgia Mullen. They had five children: Michael, Mark, Phyllis, Greg, and Steve. They divorced in 1975. Phillip transferred to Eagle Grove. He married Rose Gatewood in 1976. There were four stepchildren from this marriage: Gerald, Charles, Diane, and Rodney. Rose died in 1993. Phillip married Delores Kuebler on May 13, 1993. There was also four stepchildren from this marriage: Tom Kuebler, Barb Holding, Carl and JoAnn Kuebler, and Rob and Cindy Kuebler. Phil was known as Grandpa to Jeremy and Jamie Kuebler, Mandy and Kyle Reed, Ryan Kuebler, Ashley Holding, and Rachel Kuebler, and Great-Grandpa to Tyson Reed and Jaycie Kuebler.

Phil retired from the railroad after 41 years. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove. Phil enjoyed spending time with family, bike riding, drawing, woodworking, and making clocks.
