James B. Ralston, Tulsa, Okla., former long-time resident of Eagle Grove died Sunday, June 5, 1983 at the St. Frances Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Services were Wed., June 8 at the Stanley Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Stanley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ralston had been ill with cancer 2½ years. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eland Ralston.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta, Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Mrs. Vernon (Lucille) Farnsworth, Glassco, Mt.; daughter, Mrs. Richard (Charlene) Peterson, Webster City; son, Jimmie Ralston, Eagle Grove; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

James B. Ralston was born in South Dakota, later moving to Eagle Grove. On Oct. 20, 1935 he married Juanita Strietilmier in Eagle Grove. He started work for the Chicago and North Western as a fireman on Aug. 22, 1941 then on Sept. 17, 1947 he became an engineer until his retirement March 10, 1981.

He moved to Fort Dodge in 1975 and married Loretta Sheehe. He lived there seven years. After retiring he moved to Tulsa, Okla. on July 19, 1982.
