Iowan Rented Crashed Plane
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP)
A plane which crashed and burned 15 miles south of Clear, Alaska, Sunday was rented in Fairbanks by two men from Iowa and New York, Alaska state troopers reported Monday.
Bodies of the two men who died in the crash were burned beyond recognition.
Troopers said the plane was rented by Conrad E. Wehrheim, 43, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Peter H. Smith, 23, of Southampton, N. Y.

Funeral services for Conrad E. Wehrheim, 44, formerly of Webster City and Eagle Grove, have been set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart church at Eagle Grove. The Rev. J. J. Brickley will officiate with burial in Calvary cemetery.
Mr. Wehrheim was one of two persons killed Sunday when a light plane crashed and burned about 15 miles south of Clear, Alaska. He had been in Alaska since April and was employed by the Don Jonz Flight Service of Fairbanks. He formerly had been employed as a trucker with Morton Frozen Foods of Webster City.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Gertrude Wehrheim of Eagle Grove, two brothers, George of San Antonio, Texas, and Bob of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two sisters, Eileen Miller of Del Mar, Calif., and Mrs. Bill Jones of Ames.
