Services for Mrs. Floyd E. (Jessie H.) Roscoe, 91, of St. John's Lutheran Home, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. James W. Schoeld will officiate, with interment in the State Line Cemetery in rural Northwood, Iowa. Mrs. Roscoe died this morning at Naeve Hospital [in Albert Lea, Minnesota] after being hospitalized for three weeks following a stroke.

She was born Sept. 23, 1886 in Eagle Grove, Iowa the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Thompson. She moved from Eagle Grove, Iowa to Fort Dodge, Iowa. She also lived in Albert Lea and Armstrong before returning to Albert Lea in 1916. She had been a resident of the St. John's Lutheran Home for four years. She married Floyd E. Roscoe on August 16, 1908 in Fort Dodge, Iowa and was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Albert Lea. Mrs. Roscoe is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane Johnson of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Mrs. Stan (Lucille) Schultz of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Clayton (Casey) and Floyd T. both of Albert Lea; 23 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd, in 1973; and one daughter, Helen Doud.
