Clarence Leroy Thompson, 83, of 348 Twenty-first street NE, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital Tuesday following a brief illness. Born December 3, 1891, in Eagle Grove, he had been a resident of Cedar Rapids the last 35 years. Before his retirement in 1953, was an auditor for the Iowa state tax commission. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Toledo. surviving are a sister, Mrs. Floyd Roscoe, Albert Lea, Minn, a sister in-law, Mrs. Frances Rebec, Cedar Rapids, with whom he made his home. Services: Friday at 3 PM in Stewart Funeral Home by the Rev. David Frans Larson. Burial: Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at Stewart Funeral Home Thursday after 1 PM.
