24 November 1891 ---- 25 April 1987

Flora T. Haines was born in Alden, Iowa to George and Dora Haines, November 24, 1891. The family moved to Eagle Grove and she received her education at the Eagle Grove schools and her musical education from the Sisters at Sacred Heart School. She was a member of the Eagle Grove Methodist Church where she was pianist for many years and active in Sunday School work. After her parents' death, she was married to Leslie Rose of Blue Earth, Minn., July 16, 1935 at Eagle Grove.

Tammy, as she was always known, lived in Eagle Grove until poor health made it necessary for her to move to the Dows Care Center, Dows, Iowa, She had been a resident of the Dows Care Center for many years.

Flora (Tammy) Haines died Saturday, April 25 at the Dows Care Center at the age of 96. Funeral services were held April 29, 1987 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. The Rev. Scott C. Hall officiated. Burial was held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
