Dale Edward Ford, the son of Frederick and Juanita Holzer Ford, was born on September 17, 1946, at Fort Dodge, Iowa. He grew up in Eagle Grove and for several years he attended the Eagle Grove School for the Handicapped Persons. For the past ten years, Dale had been attending the Wright County Opportunities Center in Clarion.

He died on Friday, Dec. 3, 1982 at the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, where he had been a patient for three days. He attained the age of 36 years, two months and 17 days. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Juanita Ford of Eagle Grove; a sister, Louise, Mrs. Glenn Peak of Parsons, Kan.; two brothers, Bob Ford of Deerfield Beach, Fl. and Gene Ford of Floodwood, Minn.; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, an infant sister, Emma and two brothers, Ted and George.

Funeral services for Dale E. Ford were held on Monday, Dec. 6, 1982 at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. Rev. Don Callen officiated at the service and visitation was held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home on Sunday. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Erie Cemetery in Erie, Kansas.
