Services for Louis A. Farland, 83, of 1260 Seventieth St., Windsor Heights, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the United Church of Christ in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery there. Mr. Farland, a native of Norway, died of arteriosclerosis Wednesday at his home. He had been a Des Moines resident 46 years and was employed by the former Hudson-Jones Motor Co. before retiring in 1950. Surviving are his wife, Josephine, and a daughter, Mrs. Richard K. Nelson of Des Moines. The body is at Dahlstrom's Funeral Home.
