The remains of Charles Vinton Dowd were brought to Eagle Grove Monday morning for burial. He died at Elk Point, S. Dakota, Aug. 25, of valvular heart disease. He was 38 years of age and had been farming a number of years, moving to town only when his condition became so bad he could not work. He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Mary McDermott, three brothers, John, Frank, and Lawrence, and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Thompson of Ft. Dodge. John is running a drug store near Manning and Frank a barber shop at Mandan; N. Dakota. They have the sympathy of their many friends in their sorrow.
