BABY KILLED IN SUNDAY AUTO CRASH
Evelyn Fox Bleeds to Death After She was Thrown Through Windshield of Her Father's Car

Evelyn Fox, three years of age, bled to death within 30 minutes after her father's car collided with a car driven by Esther Derscheid on the corner of Broadway and Lincoln Avenue Sunday afternoon. The Derscheid car was going east and was turning north at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Broadway at the Wm. Hathaway corner when it was struck by the John Fox car, driven by Mr. J. Sage and O'Toole were called. They found the arteries in her neck severed and that she had lost so much blood that she was practically dead before their arrival. No inquest was held.

Evelyn Fox was born in Eagle Grove, Jan. 28, 1927. [1926] At the time of her tragic death she was three years, seven months and seventeen days o1d The remains were taken to Cincinatti, Iowa for burial, final funeral services being held Wednesday. The father and mother and one brother survive.

Mr. Fox is the proprietor of the Barber Shop in the Eagle Grove Hatchery building. Mr. and Mrs. Fox have the sincerest sympathy of the entire community in the hour of their great sorrow.
