SAD DEATH OF LITTLE CHILD

Untimely Passing of Arliene Dixon, Aged Three—Was the Joy of the Home.

Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Dixon were stricken in sorrow last Thursday evening when their three-year-old baby girl was removed from them by the death angel. The shock was all the more severe because her death was so unexpected. Her case had not been at all serious. She had the whooping cough, quite badly, when she was taken with chickenpox, also.

Funeral services were held from the house Sunday afternoon, the sermon being by Rev.Van Cleve of the Methodist church, who spoke tenderly to the sorrowing parents and friends. The floral tributes were handsome and liberal. Little Arliene was a sweet child and had endeared herself to the hearts of her parents. She has answered the call of the Master, who said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

It is a sad blow to the fond parents, and only time can allay their sorrow, but the warm sympathy of friends is theirs in great measure.

DEATH OF LITTLE ARLIENE DIXON

Arliene Dixon, the three-years old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Dixon died at their home on So. Garfield avenue, Thursday, May 25th. The little one had been afflicted with the whooping cough for about three weeks which suddenly developed convulsions resulting fatality. The funeral was held at the home Sunday at 2:30 and the interment was in Rose Hill cemetery. Rev. Van Cleve conducted the services. One child, a 6 year old boy, remains to this bereaved family.

The stricken home has the sympathy of the whole community in their great sorrow.
