June 9, 1846 --- March 18, 1911

Death of Mrs. Darling

Eliza Gordon was born in New York State. June 9, 1845 [1846]. At the age of four she moved with her parents to Wisconsin. September 10, 1861 she was married to Francis Darling. To this union was born four children, of which three are living, Mrs. Snowden, Mrs. Ben Cowan, of Eagle Grove and an only son Frank Darling, of Aberdeen, South Dakota.

After a short illness she passed from this life, March 18, 1911. The funeral services were held at the Ben Cowan home conducted by Rev. Charles Elmer Chapler, of Cherokee, Iowa, and the body laid at rest in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Darling lived and exemplary life full of Christian virtues and was loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.

Paul and Ollle Cowan were in attendance at the funeral, also her only son, Frank Darling. There were two cousins here from Wisconsin, also.
