Marilyn A. Daniels, 71, loved family & crocheting

Marilyn A. Daniels, the daughter of Ruben and Helma (Wilberg) Larsen, was born September 28, 1938, in Armstrong, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Armstrong High School and then attended La James Cosmetology School in Mason City.

On March 25, 1962, Marilyn was united in marriage with Arthur Dale Daniels in Armstrong. The couple made their home in Council Bluffs, Armstrong, Estherville, and moved to Eagle Grove in 1967.

Marilyn was a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting and was a collector of State Bells and Spoons.

Marilyn passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at the Marian Home in Fort Dodge, at the age of 71 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale, in 2004; and brothers, Roland and Clifford Larsen.

Survivors include her five children: Debra Lesher and husband, Mike, of Woolstock, Lisa Smith and husband, Bryan, Yucca Valley, Calif., Allen Daniels of Eagle Grove, Melissa Mattson and husband, Christopher, of Mason City, and Christopher Daniels and wife, Kathy, of Eagle Grove; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a brother, Roger Larsen and wife, Joan, of Armstrong.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 10, 2010,10:30 a.m., at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Burial was held in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
