TOBIA TERESA QUINSLAND

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, June 7, at 3 o'clock for Mrs. Tobia Quinsland, who
died June 5.

Obituary
Tobia Teresa Quinsland was born in Stavanger, Norway, on Sept. 26, 1854, and died at her home on June 5 at the age of 91 years, 8 months and 10 days. Her parents were Thorboden and Anna Gunderson. She came from Norway to her sister's home in Illinois when she was 25 years old. Later she moved to Eagle Grove, where she married Severt Quinsland.

For 25 years she lived 4-1/2 miles east of Goldfield and then moved to her home where she died. Mr. and Mrs. Quinsland had 7 children. Four died in infancy and Henry died in 1928. Mr. Quinsland passed away in July, 1924. Two daughters survive, Lettie Corhouse of Minnesota and Anne,
who cared for her mother for 11 years. Other survivors include 13 grandchildren, 23 great grand children, 1 great great grandchild; 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Mrs. Quinsland was a quiet and loving neighbor who spent much time at home because of her failing
health. She fell and broke her hip and was in bed for 2 months before her death. However, she was
conscious up to the last day.

Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were: Beverly Habinger, Mankato, Minn., Lettie Corhouse, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Mr. and Mrs. Hans Quinsland of Milford. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery beside Mr. Quinsland and son, Henry.
