JOHN FLYNN DEAD
John Flynn, one of the early set­tlers in Eagle Grove, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. V. Hubitsch [Huibsch] last Saturday and was buried in Calvary cemetery, Father Nolan having charge of the service. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Flynn Hubitsch. [Huibsch] He was born in Burlington, Wisconsin in 1844. He was one of the first veterinarians to locate in Eagle Grove and also conducted a barber shop on the East Side. Every one respected and said a good word for "John" and the sincere sympathy of all is extended the bereaved daughter.

The death of John Flynn occurred last Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Huebsch [Huibsch] in Troy township, which place has been his home for some time. Mrs. Huebsch was his only daughter.

Funeral services were held from the Catholic church Monday morning. Mr. Flynn was a pioneer settler of this locality and was well known to all of the old settlers.

John Flynn was born at Burlington, Wis., May 29, 1844 and died Feb. 8, 1919. He came to Eagle Grove in 1886. He was married to Miss Mary Lewis of Burlington, Wis., but she died in 1888. A sister, Mrs. Wall and nephew, Ray Wall, of Chicago, also Mr. and Mrs. Keo, old friends of Webster City were in attendance at the funeral.
