Services for Glen Malbone Daniels, 92, Storm Lake, were held Friday, Sept. 3, in the Sliefert Funeral Chapel, Storm Lake, who was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Duane Queen of Lakeside Presbyterian Church, Storm Lake, officiated. Burial was in the Storm Lake Cemetery. Military rites were by Am Vets Post #66, Storm Lake.

He died Tuesday August 31, in Buena Vista Manor, Storm Lake.

Glen was born Oct 2, 1900 in Eagle Grove to George Davis and Maude (Malbone) Daniels. He moved with his parents to Storm Lake, where he received his education in the Storm Lake School System. He was united in marriage to Olive Jimmerson March 3, 1923 in Storm Lake. To this union, two sons were born.

Glen worked for the city water department and then was employed for many years by Iowa Electric Light and Power Company. He enlisted in the US Navy Seabees as a shipfitter first class August 7, 1942. He served in the Pacific Theater. He received an honorable discharge Sept 2, 1945 at the Separation Center, Great Lakes, IL.

He entered the Buena Vista Manor August 19 of this year. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents, two sons, and a brother.

Survivors includes two sisters — Margarat Kavane, Lake Okoboji, and Ruth Bierman, Cherokee; a stepson — Larry Daniels, Menominee, Wis.; and a stepdaughter — Rosemary Grim, Salt Lake City, Utah; four step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a special friend - Idabelle Sheffield, Storm Lake.
