GRAND RAPIDS WOMAN DIES IN CLARION, IOWA
Widow of George Peterson, Who Died August, Passes Away at home of a son.
Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Margaret Peterson, 73 years old, for many years a resident of Grand Rapids township, which occurred Thursday evening at the home of her son, John Peterson, in Clarion, Ia. The deceased who was well known in this city, was the widow of George Peterson, who died last August. The body arrived in Ottawa over the Rock Island yesterday morning and was taken to the home of a son, Rufus Peterson, in Grand Rapids township, from where the funeral was held this morning.

Mrs. Peterson was born August 27, 1841 in Iowa [Ireland]. She was united in marriage with Mr. Peterson in 1868, and the couple lived for many years on a farm four miles east and two miles south of Grand Ridge. Since her husband's death Mrs. Peterson had been living with her children. Surviving she leaves the following children John, of Clarion, Iowa; Frank of Brookfield township and Robert, Rufus and Elmer of Grand Rapids township.

The burial of the late Mrs. George Peterson, who died suddenly in Iowa took place from the Peterson home at 10 o'clock Monday morning at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Farm Ridge, where services were held. Mrs. Peterson's husband was buried only last August. The family have the sympathy of all in their hour of sorrow.
