JOHN JOHNSON KILLED IN FALL FROM ROOF TOP

John Johnson, 73, died Monday night in Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge, where he had been a patient but a few hours.

Mr. Johnson was working on the roof at the Art Helgevold farm home north of Eagle Grove, and fell about 20 feet to the ground. He suffered a crushed chest, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he died without regaining consciousness.

Funeral services are pending, due to the inability to contact one son, John Johnson, of Greenbay, Wis., who is at present traveling in Canada on his wedding trip. Interested relatives and friends are advised to call the Wilson Chapel for the funeral particulars.

Mr. Johnson had lived in Eagle Grove for a number of years residing on South Lucas Ave. Since retiring from the farm he had worked at the carpenter trade.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Olaf Lee, of Thor, and three sons, Thomas and Lawrence of this city, and John of Greenbay, Wis., and one sister Mrs. Burt Erickson of Sheridan, Ill.
