Funeral services for Kenneth Hoyt, 66, are to be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the West Funeral Home chapel. Dennis Atherton of Sunset Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Eddy Bell, Weldon Bridges, Bill McAlreath, Alvin McNabb, Ronny Arneson and Bill Phillips.

Hoyt, a resident of Carlsbad since 1942, worked at a local potash mine for 12 years and as a parts manager until his retirement two year ago. He is survived by his wife, Margery, Carlsbad;; one brother, James Hoyt, Fort Dodge, Iowa; and one sister Josephine Smith, Waterloo, Iowa.
