Fred W. Kraft was born April 13, 1901, in Renwick Iowa to Ernest C. and Anna Holck Kraft. He was baptized on July 2, 1902 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Renwick and confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church in 1916. He died at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Dodge, on September 6 after reaching the age of 67 years, 4 months and 23 days.

Mr. Kraft lived his early years near Renwick, attending the schools there and later farmed near there. He married Joyce Taminga on June 16, 1937 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Renwick. In 1955 they moved to their present location in Eagle Grove, transferring their member ship to Samuel Lutheran Church at that time. In May 1966 he joined the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Chruch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Anna Blumer and Clara Kraft and by a daughter, Darlene.

Those who mourn his departure are his wife Joyce; his children, Dale of Corwith, Everett of Renwick, Joyce (Mrs. Gerald Meyer) of Delhart, Texas, William of Brigham City, Utah, Julia of Fort Dodge and Vicki at home; 8 grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Marie, Mrs. Wilbert Kubly of Madelia Minn., Mrs. Emma Kubly of Eagle Grove, Ernest of Eagle Grove, Arthur of Renwick, Henry of Renwick, Mrs. Doris Fredrickson of Derando, Wis., Mrs. Emma Whitnable of Mason City, and George of Northwood, Minn.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 9 at 2 p.m. at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. H. W. Schiller with interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Renwick. Kastler Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Among those who attended funeral services for Fred Kraft Monday afternoon in the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Kraft, Janet and Randall, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kraft, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kraft Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kraft and LuAnn, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kraft, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Helmke, Mr. and Mrs. Garry Kraft of Bode also attended.
