Carl G. Johnson, 83, a longtime Thor resident, died at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.

Among survivors are the widow, Hannah; two sons, Harold C., Thor; Richard, Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Orsland, Marshalltown, Mrs. Arlene Sweeney, Urbandale, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Relatives from out-of-town who were here to attend funeral services for Carl Johnson Friday afternoon and visit with relatives were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Berry of Matteson, Ill., Gerald D. Iverson of Alexandria, Va., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sweeney and children, Mr. and Mrs. Art Tokheim, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Carlson of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Johnson and family, Albert Tokheim, Agnes Tokheim, Elmer Tokheim of Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Orsland of Marshalltown, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Tokheim of Oelwein, Mr. and Mrs. Halvor Iverson of Jewell, Mrs. Fred Kling of Newton and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Betton of Jolley. Mrs. Sweeney remained for a longer stay with her mother.
