Victor V. Victoria was born January 2, 1929, at Hull. Iowa, to Henry and Anna Elizabeth Lohmann Victoria. He attended school in Hull. After high school he joined the U. S. Army and, served in the forces occupying Japan. He began college at Iowa State University in Ames during 1948. After briefly being recalled to the Army in 1950-51, he finished college with a B. S. in Civil Engineering in 1954. His first and only job as an engineer was building water towers for the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company. He met his wife, Mabel Irena Nash, at church in Pueblo, Colo., and they were married at her family home outside of Del Norte, Colo., on February 5, 1956. In 1957, he began a new career, entering San Francisco Theological Seminary. He received his degree in 1959, and on July 12 was ordained to ministry in the Presbyterian Church at his first charge, the Little Blue River Parish. He served the churches of the parish, Cuba, Narka, and Mahaska, Kan. He served in Hill City, Kan., Spearville, Kan., was Associate Pastor in Dodge City, Kan., and served in Trenton, Mo., where he served the Hodge Presbyterian Church. His final call before retirement was in 1984 in Goldfield, Iowa. After retirement in l994, he and his wife moved to Longmont, Colo.; where both became active: in the Westview Presbyterian Church. His wife died in 1994. After her death, his health worsened and his son, Robert, moved to Longmont to be a caretaker. He was an active member of the Board of Ethics of Superior Home Care, the Parkinson's Support Group in Longmont, and a member of the Mason's and Scottish Rite.

Victor V. Victoria died on Friday, September 4, 1998, at the Applewood Living Center in Longmont, Colo., at the age of 69.

Survivors include his three sons, Roger Victoria, Grand Island, Neb., Robert Victoria, Longmont, Colo., and John Victoria. Longmont, Colo.; two sisters Eleanor V. Hayen, Plymouth, Minn., Annabelle Hamilton, Storm Lake, Iowa; a number of foster children raised through the years; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mabel.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 1998, at the Westview Presbyterian Church in Longmont with the Reverend W. Bruce McQueen officiating. Cremation was held following services at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Del Norte Cemetery, Del Norte, Colo.

Ahlberg Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Longmont, Colo., was in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont, CO 80501.
