Funeral services for Harry W. Rasmussen were held Friday afternoon at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home with Rev. H. W. Schiller officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Mr. Rasmussen, 63, died Tuesday evening, July 11, at the Veteran's Hospital, Des Moines, where he had been a patient for two months. He was a former employee of Wilson and Co.

He is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Martin Nervig of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Lillian Gosnell, Springfield, Mo. and a niece, Mrs. Benedict Driessen of Eagle Grove.

Obituary

Harry W. Rasmussen was born in Liberty Township near Goldfield on October 13, 1908 to Fredrick and Tina Hansen Rasmussen. He died on Tuesday evening, July 11, 1972, at Veteran's Hospital, Des Moines, after reaching the age of 63 years, 8 months, and 29 days.

Mr. Rasmussen farmed until entering the United States Army during World War II. After his discharge, he came to Eagle Grove where he worked for Wilson and Company. He had been a patient at Veteran's Hospital since May 10.

Surviving are sisters: Mrs. Martin Nervig, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Lillie Gosnell, Springfield, Mo.; and a niece raised by the family, Mrs. Benedict Driessen, Eagle Grove. Services were held Friday, July 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, Pastor H. W. Schiller officiating.
