Mrs. Andrew Egland died at her home on East Broadway, Friday, September 3, 1926. She has been in poor health for many weeks. Everything possible that medical skill could suggest was done for her without appreciable results.

Funeral services were held from the home and the East Side Lutheran church and burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. The sincere sympathy is extended Mr. Egland and the sorrowing relatives.

Anna Askilson, was born May 5, 1867 in Stavanger, Norway, and died in her home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, September 3, 1926, age 59 years, 3 months and 29 days.

She came to the U. S. A. in 1892 to Leland, Illinois. February 22, 1894, she was married to Andrew E. Egeland [Egland] who now survives her. Mr. and Mrs. Egeland [Egland] lived, about 15 years near Leland, Illinois, and then came to Eagle Grove, where they lived on a farm till a few years ago they left the farm and moved into their home on East Broadway where, Mrs. Egeland [Egland] passed away last Friday morning.

Mrs. Egeland's [Egland’s] health has been gradually failing for some time and it seemed that the best medical advice could not bring her any permanent help. She bore her suffering very patiently to the end and we trust that she found relief with the Savior.

She leaves besides her husband also one sister, Mrs. Rachel Gustaveson, of Chicago, Illinois, and three brothers Oscar Askilson of Eagle Grove, Harold Askilson of Seattle, Washington, and Gustave Askilson of Malta, Ill. Also a large number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home and from the East Side Lutheran church. Burial in the Rose Hill cemetery.
