July 13, 1889 ---- September 11, 1983

Erick L. Rocknow, [Rockow] 94, Almena, Wisconsin died Sunday at Barron Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Dows, Iowa, and married Emma Schroeder there Feb. 18, 1914. They moved to Almena in 1938 and owned and operated a dairy farm until retiring in 1959 and moving to the village of Almena. Survivors include his wife, three sons, La Verne, Almena; Bernard, Salem, Oregon, Donald, Chetek; a daughter, Maxine Christianson, Almena; a brother, Frank, Dows, Iowa; three sisters, Martha Butenback, Tillie Rolands, both of Garner, Iowa, Clara Inman, Iowa Falls, Iowa; and 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Almena, with burial in Wayside Cemetery in Barron. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Rockman Funeral Chapel in Barron, and an hour before services at the church.
