June 26, 1904 ---- December 3, 1994

Alvyna Garrett (nee Appelt) Reid. Born in Thor, Iowa June 26, 1904. She passed away at St. Paul's Hospital in golden sunshine on the morning of December 3, 1994. Predeceased by her husband Lyall Eric (Ed), and her sisters and brother. Her daughter Sarah, granddaughter Kathi and Bob will miss her indomitable spirit. She leaves nieces and nephews and their families in the Midwestern USA, Alaska, and California. No service or flowers by request. Her favourite charity was the CKNW Orphan's Fund.

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your lace, the rains fall soft upon your fields, and, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
