Rites Tuesday for Charles Boyce, 66

CLINTONVILLE, Wis. -- The Rev. Harry C. Kuhnert, pastor of the Congregational churches at Clintonville and Embarrass, was called to Oshkosh Tuesday to conduct funeral services for Charles William Boyce, 66, who passed away at his home there Sunday after a short illness. Services were held in the Fiss and Bliss funeral home at 2 o'clock, with interment in the cemetery in that city.

Boyce, a former resident here, was born in Rowan, Iowa, in 1883. When 10 years of age he moved with his parents to the state of Illinois, and in 1897 they moved to Tigerton. He married Miss Selma VanOrnum, [Van Norman] and later they came to Clintonville, locating at Embarrass in 1921. They resided near that village for 24 years, then moved to Oshkosh in April 1945. Boyce still retained his membership in the Embarrass Congregational church, and also in the Clintonville Odd Fellows lodge.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Carl Siefert, Milwaukee; four sons, Vilas, Clarence and Kerwin of Oshkosh, and Gerald of Iowa City, Iowa; and six grandchildren. Other survivors are three sisters and two brothers. Among those who attended the funeral services at Oshkosh were 25 friends from Embarrass and Clintonville.
