SUN CITY, AZ - Glenn R. Rowen, 69, who had retired as a yardmaster in 1969 after 51 years with the Burlington Northern Railroad, died Monday in Maryvale Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Rowen, of 10831 Kelso Drive, was born in Rowan, Iowa, and moved here in 1969 from Williston, N.D. He was awarded the Legion of Honor by the DeMolay and was a member of the First Methodist Church, a Masonic lodge, consistory and Shrine, all in North Dakota and Sun City Square Club. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Lundberg Golden Door Chapel, 11211 Michigan Ave., Youngtown. Burial will be private.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine; children, Robert, Michale, Mrs. Betty Rippel and Mrs. Patricia Welsch; a sister; 10 grandchildren and four great - grandchildren. The family suggest contributions to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children.
