Services for Basil R. "Pat" Doughten, 60, of 2313 Maple St., who died of a heart attack Monday at Veteran's Administration Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Charles town cemetery. Mr. Doughten was born in Woolstock and lived in Des Moines the past 14 years. He was a retired mechanic at Doughten Auto Supply in Ankeny and was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Webster City.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; a son, Geoffry of Glendale, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Loren Sturtz of Ankeny and Mrs. Merlyn Batcheller of Littleton, Colo. Friends may call today at the funeral home.
