VERO BEACH--- Carroll S. Helgevold, 76, a former farmer, died Monday, Oct. 2, at West Melbourne Care Center. Mr. Helgevold was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He came to Indian River County one year ago from Chapel Hill, N.C. He was Protestant. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Helgevold of Vero Beach; sons, Charles Helgevold of Hillsborough, N.C, and Karl Helgevold of Melbourne; daughters, Patricia Helgevold and Pamela Evans, both of Huntington Beach, Calif, Paulette Farrell of Vancouver, Canada and Penelope Armstrong of Spokane, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. No calling hours or services are scheduled. A memorial service will be at a later date. Cox-Gifford Funeral Home in Vero Beach is in charge of arrangements.
