A private graveside service will be held Monday at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville for Mabel (Garvey) Edwards, 89, who died Thursday at Greenwood Village South Healthcare Center. There will be no visitation. Born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, she was an Indianapolis resident since 1918. Mrs. Edwards, the widow of Wallace Edwards, was a housewife. Survivors include four daughters, Betty Dunlap, Greenwood, Doris Osborne, Louise Edwards and Lois Lee, all of Indianapolis; seven sons, Edward Edwards, Florida, Calvin Edwards, New Jersey, James, Ralph, Raymond, Donald and Clifford Edwards, all of Indianapolis; 22 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
