Man Who Died in Eagle Grove Hotel Is Buried

EAGLE GROVE—George Youst, 86, retired farm laborer, died at the Park hotel Sunday after having been here for two days, coming here from Clarion where it is understood he had been on relief for a number of years. Funeral services were held at the Wilson funeral chapel with the Rev. W. L. Breaw of the M. E. church officiating. A niece, Mrs. Mildred Snedeker, living in Modesto, Cal., is the only relative known to anyone here.

Geo. Youst, 86, who had been a resident of Clarion for the past 15 years, died at Eagle Grove on Sunday, at which place he was later buried. He had been employed on the Guy Gibbs farm for a number of years. Of late he had been in failing health, death being due to heart trouble. He was born in Hazel Green, Wis. His only living relative was an aunt residing in California, who is also quite old and afflicted with cancer. Mr. Youst was an honest, industrious and a kindly gentleman.

George Youst, born in Hazel Green, Wis., on Jan. 26. 1851 passed away very suddenly at the Park Hotel Sunday evening Mr. Youst was a single man, having spent some 35 years as a farm laborer in Wright county. He was recently sent to the Park Hotel by the Age Commission and was apparently not very well, no one realized that death was so near. At the time of his death he was 86 years of age. No relatives near here survives him and [unreadable] of Modesto. Calif could [unreadable].

Services were held at the Wilson Funeral Chapel with Rev. W. L. Breaw in charge and burial was [unreadable] Rose Hill cemetery [unreadable] noon.
