Lester Eugene Brown, 79, of Cape Coral, died Sunday at Fort Myers Community Hospital. He was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, and came to Cape Coral in 1965 from Wheaton, Ill. He was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church of Cape Coral and a charter member of the Palmetto Pine County Club. He is survived by his wife, Gladys; two sons, James of Fort Myers Beach, and Craig of Mason City, Iowa; and three grandchildren, Sally B. Smith of Morehead City, N. C, Karen Deregules of Davenport, Iowa, and David I. Brown of Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with Dr. John R. Hunt of the Faith United Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may visit from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Today at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith United Presbyterian Building Fund or a charity of their choice. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
