HODGES, SC --- Mrs. Frances Yon Shirley, 70, of 3804 Highway 25-North, wife of Adger S. Shirley, died Oct. 26, 1995 at Self Memorial Hospital, Greenwood. Born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Robert Carl and Kate Idell Driver Yon. She was retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Greenwood Mills. A member of Providence Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of the home, are three daughters, Mary Joyce Shirley of Greenwood, Victoria S. Draper of Honea Path and Linda S. Cobb of Columbia; two sisters, Edith Y. Cothran of Greenwood and Louise Looper of Easley; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Blyth Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Revisky and the Rev. Frank Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ricky Arnold, Dan DeFazio, Rudolph Price, Rodney Ashley, Dorton Shirley, Allen Shirley, Thomas Yon, Lester Ashley and Ronnie Looper. Honorary escort will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. The body is at the funeral home. The family is at the residence.
