Harry W. Paine, 86, 320 Circle Drive, Palm Harbor, died Monday (June 14, 1976). Born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, he came here three years ago from Salisbury, Md. He was a retired professor and head of vocational education at the University of Toledo and the University of Cincinnati. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi, and a life member of the American Vocational Association. Survivors include his wife Ruby, and a half sister, Ethel Krentell, California. Vinson Funeral Home, Tarpon Springs.

Funeral here for Dr. Harry Paine
Funeral services for Dr. Harry Warren Paine, 86, will be held at the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Donald Glazier, pastor of the United Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Dr. Paine died Monday in New Port Richey, Fla. following a long illness. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruby Deforest, and a half sister, Mrs. Stuart Krentle of San Marcus, Calif.

Mr. Paine was born in Eagle Grove March 17, 1890 and his parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Warren Paine. He was a graduate of Eagle Grove High School with the class of 1908 and a graduate of Iowa State College, Ames. He served as Educational Instructor for 26 years at the University of Toledo and the University of Cincinnati, O. Previously he was in business in Eagle Grove and was associated with the Smith-Paine Garage for many years.

He was a life member of the American Vocational Ass'n. In early May it was announced that Dr. Paine had awarded $400.00 to the Eagle Grove Community School District for scholarships for
Eagle Grove graduates.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gordon Paine. Mrs. Paine arrived last evening and is a guest of Mrs. Gordon Paine.
