Rosetta Nell Middleton, 85, of Eagle Grove, died Saturday, December 17, 2005, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Mary K. Green officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday 5 to 7 p.m. Burial is in Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove.

Survivors include three sons and three daughters: Dwight Middleton and wife Joyce of Webster City; Greg Middleton and wife Pat of Goldfield; Vicki Jorgensen of Eagle Grove; Linda Gord and husband David of Eagle Grove; Kay Schnurr and husband Patrick of Fort Dodge and Steve Middleton and wife Linda of Eagle Grove; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and a sister, Clarice Crum of Johnston. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elwood in 1992; seven brothers; five sisters; two sons-in-law; granddaughter, JoAnn Riley and great-grandson, Noah Zarate.

Rosetta Nell (Jergensen) Middleton, the daughter of Gudman and Julia (Anderson) Jergensen, was born December 10, 1920, on a farm near Holmes where she was raised until moving to Eagle Grove in the summer of 1933. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1938. Rosetta was united in marriage to Elwood Eugene Middleton on June 15, 1941 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. Rosetta taught school the first year of their marriage. The couple made their home on the Middleton family farm south of Eagle Grove, where they built a home in 1962 and lived there until Elwood's death in 1992 and Rosetta moved to town. Rosetta was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove and a church circle. She enjoyed her grandchildren, crocheting, reading, playing cards, and collecting Teddy Bears. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

The Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove is in charge of the arrangements.
