Stella Foster, 103, of 3900 S. Marion Road, died Wednesday in McKennan Hospital. Stella Willard was born Dec. 28, 1879, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She married William L. Schmerhorn. She was later married to Edgar R. Foster, and he died in 1947. She had been a resident of Sioux Falls for the past four years, moving here from Webster [City], Iowa. Survivors include a son, Lynn G. Schmerhorn, Sherman, Texas; a grandson, a great-grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Vernie Litchenberger of California. Committal services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday in Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Funeral Chapel, Sioux Falls.
