Tennie Olson, 87, Aurora, S.D., died Saturday at her rural home. Tennie Midland was born and raised in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She taught rural school at Eagle Grove before her marriage to Olaf Mathew Olson June 23, 1915. They moved to Aurora in 1915 and farmed. Mr. Olson died June 21, 1972. Survivors include three sons, Theran L., Larchwood, Iowa; Mathew D., White, S.D. and Eugene R, Edmond, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. John Check, Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Earle Wellborn, San Ramon, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church in Brookings. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. today at Rude's Funeral Home, Brookings, and before the services at the church Wednesday.
