Lewis L. Hilyard, Casper resident since 1955, died Wednesday afternoon in Memorial Hospital at the age of 40. Born Dec. 11, 1918 in Litchfield, Ill., he was raised in Corwith, Iowa, and married the former Lela Williams in Eagle Grove. Iowa. The couple lived in Waterloo, Iowa until 1950 when they moved to Worland. They came to Casper in 1955. Mr. Hilyard was a salesman. He was a member of the Casper Mountain Lions Club and the Eagles Lodge. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmy and Terry; his mother, Mrs. Florence Hilyard, Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. George Olson, Beloit, Wis., and Mrs. Edward Arend, Algona, Iowa; and two brothers, Weston, Clearwater, Minn., and Richard C. Waterloo.

Funeral services will take place Friday at 10 am. in the Bustard Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas C. Davies of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. The body will be sent by train to Eagle Grove for funeral services and burial will be made in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
