Mrs. Phillip Griffin, 69, 1626 Jackson St., died Tuesday morning in a Clarion, Iowa hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Eyler Funeral Home of Clarion. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Clarion. The former Helen McGrath was born in Wright County, Iowa, and attended Clarion High School. She married Phillip Griffin in 1928 at Clarion where he worked for the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Co. They also resided in the Hawarden area before moving to Sioux City where she resided for the last 35 years. Mr. Griffin died in 1965. Mrs. Griffin was a member of the Emerald Lodge 23, Chicago Northwestern Railroad Women's Club and Delaplane Club. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Lena Lash of Clarion, Mrs. Bessie Wilson of Clarion, and Mrs. Clarke Bennet of Table Rock Heights, Mo.; and two brothers, Frank McGrath of Des Moines, and Howard McGrath of Fort Worth, Tex.
