GOODING, Idaho - Clifford M. "Mike" Bartholomew, 87, of Gooding, died Wednesday, June 15, 1988, at Green Acres Care Center in Gooding. Born Aug. 19, 1900, in Wright County, Iowa, he attended schools in Iowa and then moved to Emmett as a young man. He was engaged in farming in Idaho and Colorado. He married Maudie Lee Hollibaugh on Dec. 14, 1919, in Idaho Falls. They moved to Jerome in 1927, and he later farmed in Lincoln County and Gooding County. She died in 1977. He was a member of the Gooding Christian Church and the Gooding Senior Citizens.

Surviving are: one son, C. J. "Jiggs" Bartholomew of Gooding; two daughters, Betty Adamson and Effie Fisher, both of Gooding; three brothers, Lee Bartholomew, Archie Bartholomew and Bob Bartholomew, all of Jerome; three sisters, Bessie Ellis of Jerome, Hazel Dowell of Sterling, Colo., and Nellie Gennessy of Emmett; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Leslie and Bobby; and one daughter, Dora.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Demaray's Gooding Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel today from 1 to 7 p.m.
