Rites Held Feb. 3 for Edwin Ackerman, 49
Funeral services for Edwin Ackerman, 49, of Belmond, Iowa formerly of Palmer, were held Monday afternoon, Feb. 3, at St. John Lutheran Church, Belmond, with burial at Belmond. Mr. Ackerman died very suddenly of an apparent heart attack Friday, Jan. 31.

He was born July 7, 1919, the son of Henry and Minnie Ackerman of Palmer, and attended the Palmer schools. He was married June 8, 1945, to Laverne Hohensee at Pocahontas. They made their home at Pocahontas and Clear Lake for a short time, then moved to Belmond where he has been owner and operator of the Ackerman Plumbing and Heating firm.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Larry of Wichita, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Reiter of Nevada, Mrs. Donald Reiter of Palmer and Mrs. Dallas Neilson of Des Moines; four brothers, Rev. John Ackerman of Indianapolis, Ind., Rev. Ben Ackerman of Milwaukee, Wis., Herman Ackerman of Gilmore City and Rev. Marvin Ackerman of Gibsonia, Pa.
