EAGLE GROVE – Dale Phillip Jorgensen, the son of Howard A. and Lorraine J. (Brown) Jorgensen, was born June 28, 1945, in Troy Township, Wright County. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1963.
Dale was united in marriage to Vicki Middleton on May 1, 1965, at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. The first two years of their marriage they lived in Jefferson, Iowa, where he was employed by Sieg Auto Parts and farmed. They then returned to the Eagle Grove area where he lived the rest of his life. He worked for Central Auto Parts in Fort Dodge, Iowa, for several years and continued to farm. He then farmed full time for many years. He most recently worked for Force America, Inc., in Fort Dodge.
He was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Jorgensen passed away Thursday, September 12, 2002, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center in Marshalltown, Iowa, at the age of 57. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Duane and Paul, and a nephew, Ted Jorgensen.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Jorgensen, Eagle Grove, Iowa; two daughters, DeAnn Nielsen, and her husband, Kurt, Chicago, Ill., and Denise Helmick, and husband, Dirk, Eagle Grove; a son, Jamie Jorgensen, and his wife, Lynne, Ankeny, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Alex, Cody, Connor, Natalie, Nicholas, Adam and Lauren; two brothers, Rodney Jorgensen, and his wife, Jean, Eagle Grove, and Donald Jorgensen, Vincent; sisters-in-law, Marlene Jorgensen and Marilyn Jorgensen, both of Eagle Grove; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at 1:30 p.m., at the Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove, with the Reverend Paul Rothfusz officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove.
