Rose Ann Weyer, 80, of 2521 33rd St., Moline, Illinois died Sunday, April 10, 1994, at Trinity Medical Center, East Campus, Moline. Services are 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., Moline, and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Moline, where she was a member. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a liturgy conducted at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to Seton School.

The former Rose Ann Barry was born March 9, 1914, in Belmond, Iowa, the daughter of George and Mary Sullivan Barry. She married Dr. Charles Weyer April 11, 1944, in Belmond. He died Dec. 14, 1992.

Mrs. Weyer attended the University of Northern Iowa. She was a teacher in rural schools in Mason City, Iowa, Clarion, Iowa, and Davenport. She taught at Willard School, Moline, last working in 1944. She taught piano lessons in Mason City. She was also an office secretary for her husband.

She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at the church. She maintained a strong interest in education and music. She enjoyed the arts and traveling with her husband, especially to Ireland where her grandparents lived.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and David Smith, Coal Valley, and Eileen and Thomas Cheney, Bowie, Md.; a son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Judith Weyer, Moline; grandsons, Matt and Brian Cheney, Trent Birner, Adam Smith and Benjamin Weyer; a brother, Dr. David Barry, Philadelphia, Pa.; nieces, Barbara and Janice Barry; and nephews, Tom Corcoran, and Brian and Christopher Barry.
